The Laboratory is a scientific, diagnostic and treatment centre for developing new methods and devices for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
It includes a scientific and methodological centre for complex optic correction – telescopic and aniseikonic correction.
The main scientific work is focused on developing new diagnostics and correction of difficult optical, sensory and motor disorders of binocular vision.
The Laboratory has developed and introduced unique methods for treatment of eye diseases:
- Method of pleoptic treatment for strabismus and amblyopia;
- Method of simultaneous pleoptic and orthoptic treatment for strabismus and amblyopia;
- Method of diagnosis of binocular vision disorder;
- Method of optical correction of binocular function disorders in patients with anisometropia, aniseikonia
The experts of the Laboratory use a set of devices for monocular vision recovery in amblyopia patients and for binocular function recovery in patients with strabismus and amblyopia (pleoptic and orthoptic treatment).
