Diagnostic equipment of the last generation Panocam LT Wide-field Digital Imaging System has been used at the Filatov Institute from June 2017. The equipment is intended for diagnostics of retinopathy of prematurity and retinoblastoma. This device is the only one in Ukraine today . The equipment has been procured by the "Nechitaylo Family Fund" within the framework of the cooperation agreement with the Filatov Institute on the project "I Want to See. South region ".Doctors are mastering new equipment with the support of the manufacturer, which will allow to realize the full spectrum of its capabilities in a short time.
PanoCam LT Wide-field Digital Imaging System:
The PanoCam LT represents the first entry of a novel technology platform combined with unique information systems, to help preserve healthy vision for every single newborn baby.
PanoCam LT captures digital images in high-resolution on light or dark colored retinal pigment.
The Image Capturing Unit is not tethered and the system is completely wireless.
The field of view is 130 degrees. Includes powerful review and reporting software, as well as encrypted image and data transmission from the PanoCam LT to the Visunex Cloud and facility patient records.
Includes intelligent image capture screening software to ensure all images needed for screening are captured.
Mobility of the device allows coverage of diagnostic examinations of newborns in the place of their location in the departments for caring for premature babies in the Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions.
The advantage of the device is also the ability to create an electronic medical card of the patient, in which all images obtained during examinations are recorded and stored. This allows you to accumulate images and, by comparing them, monitor and evaluate the efficacy of the treatment.
More than 25 examinations of newborns from Odessa and Odessa region have already been carried out with the use of this device. In August, pilot visits to the Nikolaev and Kherson regions are planned. In addition, the examination of newborns in the South regions will become regular and habitual this autumn.
